They have kept me busy.
I know it has been a long time since I made an update. The cats and kittens have kept me busy and the holidays also took my time.
They are still here and big now. I will be keeping one of them. Tyler. Tack, Trouble and Terminator will be put up for adoption soon. Teeny Weeny, the mom, is going to be fixed as soon as funds allow for it so she won’t have any more babies.
In other news there are two more kittens outside the house. They are wild and my only hope is to catch them by surprise with my hands or humanely trap them.
There were three and I fear one has died. I only hope that isn’t the case and I just haven’t seen that third kitten because it has been hiding. Another goal is to catch the feral mother to get her fixed so she will stop breeding.
I had to put one cat to sleep much to my heartbreak. I still cry but I know it was for the best. He had to have been owned at some point but was a thrown away cat. He was very friendly so I took him to the vet. The vet diagnosed him as having throat cancer. It was very far advanced so the only thing to do was put him to sleep.
I also had to deal with an injured cat of my own. The vet thinks he got hit by a car but his leg would heal in time. It did and he looks great now. It was just dislocated. He got some pain medication and antibiotics for a couple of weeks.
He is also going to get fixed as soon as money allows. I have a pretty good list going right now of cats that need to be spayed or neutered.
Another cat also got hit and didn’t survive. It was a feral cat so there was nothing I could have done but it still broke my heart that I could not help or tame that cat in time.
I have pictures of most of these cats and will post them soon but right now it is still so very hard to look at their photos.
I also have pictures of cats over the years that have been adopted and those that are still here. I also have photos of those that didn’t make it for medical reasons or ferals that got in an accident.
The ones I have lost are hard to look at but the ones that I have saved soothe me a little. I will add them to the site as soon as I can. I might just make a photo gallery rather than include photos in each post.
