Teeny Weeny got bit by another cat.
I noticed this past Friday morning when I was outside giving the cats their canned catfood breakfast treat.
She had this large swollen area on her back leg. It was burning hot to the touch. I called the vets immediately and got her an appointment.
I had to leave her overnight so they could sedate her to flush out and clean the wounds. She will be inside for two more weeks while I give her antibiotics twice a day.
One is a liquid oral antibiotic which is a bit amusing since it makes her drool pink. She hates it though. The other is worse for me. I have to stick this thing into the wound holes, re-opening them and squirt antibiotic directly into the holes.
Oddly enough she doesn’t seem to mind that one…
After the two weeks are up Teeny Weeny, her daughter Tack, her brother Boyd and the dog Kelly are all going to have to go to the vets for their yearly exams and shots. Fun fun fun. =)
At least I save money by bringing everyone at once. =)
