I received a notice, a bit late because the mail wasn’t checked at the street box, that I had to ‘control the cats’ or animal control would set humane traps for them.

Considering I had no time to research plans I say it is coming along pretty well. My hands are also healing up after being at war with digging holes into rock and mixing/pouring cement. *grin*

It hasn’t cost me as much as it could have because I had some spare wood laying around from other projects that were perfect for the 10 posts and so on. I would say I have spent a little over $100 and by the end of it probably would have spent about $175. For the size of it I have saved a lot over buying one pre-made.

The cats have been walking in and out of it while I have been building it. Some have even stayed in there a while which was good to see. One thing this will make easier is finding them new homes because often when someone came to adopt a specific cat I could not find them. Murphy’s Law working at its best. *grin*

I am sorry for that but the cats keep me pretty busy.

The sick cat, Dennis, has completely recovered. There was also another sick cat I found who was worse off. Her name is now Spatz, sometimes I call her Spaz, because of the massive amounts of energy she has. It is like watching a tiny orange and white fluffy rocket shoot around the house. *smiles*

Kimba, the kitten I found hiding under my car, is also doing well. Her and Spatz are fast friends now. Nearly inseperable. I am going to try to do better about making updates to this website. I am going to shoot for taking a small amount of time out of each busy day to at least write something, or upload some pictures, or add new videos about cats I either upload or come across from YouTube.

That is another thing I have to do more of… YouTube videos about the cats. I have a seperate channel now for that purpose but it is still empty.

I had him tested for Feline Aids and Leukemia. Both tests came back negative so that was a big relief.
He did have a bronchial infection which was keeping him from eating and affecting his breathing. He also didn’t want to drink water but did sometimes.
He also had an eye problem which was really bad in one eye but not so bad in the other so I got medication for that as well.
He is doing much better. As of that very same night I could hear him purring. Before he would be purring but it wasn’t audible I guess because his nose was so stuffed? Not sure there.
By Saturday morning he was eating on his own which meant I didn’t have to force food on him anymore. That was a good thing. So all weekend I just focused on getting him his medications. The oral antibiotic twice a day and the eye medication four times a day.
I am almost out of the antibiotic so I will be calling the vet tomorrow to ask if I should get more. He seems to be much better in the bronchial infection so maybe he won’t need more. If he does that is an extra $17 added to the $103.25 that I still have yet to pay. I am glad my vet of choice works with me. It is a relief to know they are there in emergencies like this clearly was.
The picture below is of the cat the day in the vets office. I will post a picture update soon of how he looks now. The change is amazing although the one eye that was really bad still looks a little odd. I am sure that will look normal again really soon. =)
